This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act, which allowed women to become permanent, full-time members of the U.S. Army. Women Veterans Day is celebrated each year on June 12, marking when the act went into effect in 1948…

And what better day to announce I’m relaunching/rebranding @womenservetoo

My vision for it has been and always will be a community of women… and as I relaunch, Im excited to see how this community goes 💪🏼🇺🇸

Think you don’t need to worry about protein? You’re wrong.

Protein is one of the most important nutrients for our bodies, but many of us don’t realize just how vital it is.

Holding just one dumbbell during leg exercises can

Holding just one dumbbell during leg exercises can provide some unique benefits compared to holding two dumbbells or using other equipment:

✨Core Stabilization: When you hold a single dumbbell during leg exercises, particularly unilateral exercises (exercises performed on one leg at a time), your core muscles are engaged to a greater extent to maintain balance and stability. This increased demand on your core can help improve core strength and stability.

✨Balance and Coordination: Using a single dumbbell challenges your balance and coordination even more than using two dumbbells. It requires greater control and concentration to perform the exercises while maintaining stability, which can enhance your overall balance and coordination skills.

✨Muscle Imbalance Correction: Many individuals have muscle imbalances between their left and right sides. Holding a single dumbbell during leg exercises allows for targeted training on each leg separately. This can help identify and address any strength discrepancies or muscle imbalances, promoting more balanced muscle development.

✨Functional Strength and Mobility: Training with a single dumbbell can mimic real-life movements where one side of the body is dominant. It can improve functional strength and mobility, helping you perform daily activities, sports, or other movements that require unilateral leg strength, stability, and coordination.

✨Injury Rehabilitation: Holding a single dumbbell can be beneficial during injury rehabilitation or post-rehabilitation exercises. By focusing on one leg at a time, you can gradually rebuild strength and stability in the injured leg without overloading it.

It’s important to note that using both one and two dumbbells for leg exercises can have their own advantages and serve different training purposes. Incorporating a mix of exercises with single dumbbells, double dumbbells, or other equipment can provide a well-rounded leg workout that targets various muscle groups and movement patterns. As always, proper form and technique are crucial, so consult with a fitness professional or trainer (cough cough wink wink 😉) to ensure you’re performing exercises correctly and safely.

ITS NATIONAL WINE DAY!! 🍷🍷 and since it’s also Throwback Thursday, here you go 😂
Moderate consumption of wine can have some potential health benefits, but it’s important to note that excessive or heavy drinking can be harmful to your health. Here are some potential benefits:

❤️Heart health: Moderate wine consumption, particularly red wine, has been associated with a reduced risk of heart disease. Red wine contains antioxidants, such as resveratrol, which may help protect against heart disease by increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol) and preventing blood clot formation.

🍇Antioxidant properties: Wine, particularly red wine, contains various antioxidants that can help protect cells from damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals. These antioxidants may have anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effects.

🍇Polyphenols: Red wine is rich in polyphenols, which are plant compounds that have been linked to various health benefits. Polyphenols may help improve blood vessel function, reduce blood pressure, and have anti-cancer properties.

So enjoy!!🍷🍇
